Welcome to David Boyle
David Boyle is a freelance Production Assistant who has been working within the broadcasting industry for the last three years. Currently working at STV within the new media department, David strives to enhance his skills within video production. The role involves filming and editing content for the STV website, whilst also writing articles and updating STV’s catch service the STV Player. Since graduating in Broadcasting Production from Ravensbourne Skillset Media Academy in London, David returned to his hometown of Glasgow. Working consistently through a series of short-term contracts with some of the UK’s most influential production companies including BBC Scotland, IWC Media and 12 Yard Productions. David has experience within a variety of broadcasting environments including outside broadcasts, studio-based shows, factual and dramas. Working within various television setups including live studios, newsrooms and production offices this has provided David with an exciting opportunity of working alongside some of the Scotland’s greatest creative talents.

With Festival season coming up, I will be heading to Rockness and T-in-the-Park 2010 with STV where I will be filming and editing behind the scenes interviews with the artists gracing the stages across both weekends.
